Cheering on Team GB as they masterfully compete against the world is one thing. Doing it with a winning food and drink choice makes it so much better.

The Summer 2024 Olympics in Paris are underway and we couldn't help but jump on the Olympian bandwagon with a foodie article. We asked our chefs, Matt and Micheal, to share recipes fitting for world-class athletes AND your teams at work. Psst. You can try them out at home, make them for your team at work, or share our recipe cards on your company's Slack channels.

Both of Matt and Micheal’s recipes have been designed to boost energy. Being properly energised with the right food and drink makes all the difference on the track AND productivity in the office (it's what we do best).

So, without further ado: we are delighted to share two feel-good recipes that are fit for an Olympian.

Bon appetit!

Mango and Turmeric Kefir Smoothie

Chef Michael's choice

Mango and turmeric are rich in antioxidants and can help to boost immunity, turmeric is also a great anti-inflammatory so can help muscles to recover post exercise. This smoothie is also full of probiotics from the kefir and will help to improve digestive and gut health.

Ingredients

60g Fresh or frozen mango

1 Banana

50ml Water

50ml Kefir

1 tsp Maple Syrup

1 Small slice of fresh turmeric or ½ tsp ground turmeric

Juice of 1 Lime

Method

Blitz everything together. Serve over ice with a wedge of lime and a few mint leaves for a fresh summer smoothie.

Psst! We've also transformed these recipes into some lovely, downloadable cards that you can easily share with your colleagues. Simply click on each recipe name to access the cards.

Looking for more of a guilty pleasure kind of snack? Chef Micheal has you covered.

“A fun Olympic treat is to mix salty popcorn, mini pretzels, chocolate buttons and peanut M&M’s together for an Olympic themed snack bowl. The mixture of salt and sweet works really well together and the M&M’s add the Olympic colours to your snack bowl.”
